Product Introduction
The current traffic control platform needs to access detector data, simulation data, and virtual signal data to provide data support for trunk line optimization and regional optimization. Since detector protocols vary among manufacturers and there is no unified data format, it is impossible to meet the traffic control platform's unified data access requirements. As a result, a data collection platform has been developed.
The data collection platform provides unified access services, connecting various data input endpoints, converting the accessed data into a standard data format, providing services to the information control platform, and providing data distribution functions to other third-party platforms. This facilitates the management, monitoring, and maintenance of detectors by operation and maintenance personnel, including the configuration of intersections and lanes to be detected, as well as the monitoring of normal operating status

1、Real-time traffic flow unified collection
By integrating edge computing modules, on the one hand, existing intersection traffic enforcement cameras and checkpoint equipment can be reused, with video analysis units added to analyze, collect, and store intersection traffic flow data. On the other hand, existing traffic flow data collection equipment can be connected to convert, organize, standardize, and store the collected data. Thirdly, new equipment can be added to achieve comprehensive coverage of intersection traffic data monitoring, laying the foundation for future adaptive signal control.
2、Intersection evaluation and diagnosis
Further analysis of traffic flow data collected by the unified collection platform is conducted in conjunction with signal control schemes and logic. This analysis identifies traffic flow characteristics such as green loss, saturation, traffic flow, and queuing at each import and phase in terms of time. It also assesses issues such as timing imbalances and empty releases at intersections and trunk lines, providing reliable evidence for manual timing adjustments.
