This event was an internship visit for the Class of 2022 in the Traffic Engineering program, personally led by Professor Wang Decai, Head of the Department of Traffic Engineering. To provide students with a more intuitive understanding of smart urban transportation, pre-sales engineer Shi Ran used a sandbox simulation to vividly demonstrate traffic scenarios in six major cities. Subsequently, accompanied by company representatives, the faculty–student delegation toured the company’s exhibition hall. The guide provided a detailed overview of the company’s development history, business portfolio, and core technological strengths, and then used a PowerPoint presentation to explain the traffic signal control platform and comprehensive smart transportation solutions.
The hands-on product demonstration and laboratory tour deepened faculty and students’ understanding of smart transportation industry products. Several students engaged in interactive discussions and Q&A sessions with engineers from the company’s R&D center on topics related to the on-site visit and their graduation projects. Associate Professor Zhang Qunlei, the supervising instructor, stated that integrating classroom theory with real-world corporate scenarios helps students better grasp specialized knowledge and clarify their academic and career paths.
